From the Home ribbon tab, press the Host Type button from the File Transfer tab group to select one of the following host types for performing file transfer operations:


  • CMS (3270 only)
  • TSO (3270 only
  • CICS (3270 only)
  • FTP


The Host Type button will dynamically change to indicate whether IND$FILE or FTP with the selected host type displayed below the icon, for example:

IND$FILE

Indicates CMS, TSO or CICS is selected.

FTP

Indicates FTP is selected.


Once the Host Type has been set, press the Host Scheme button to configure file transfer settings related to the particular host type that was previously selected. Again, the settings available to configure in a custom host scheme will depend on the selected host type as defined in the following pages:

FTP


Trace

Enable to log diagnostic information to a trace file for troubleshooting, or disable to end trace logging.


Press the arrow below the Host Scheme button to select a default (IND$FILE only) or custom scheme to use. Unwanted custom host schemes may be removed by pressing the X next to the scheme name, or modified by pressing the wrench icon.
