Keyboard Customization
Follow the steps below to remap one or more keys on the keyboard:
- From the Schemes ribbon tab, press the Keyboard Scheme button to customize the current keyboard scheme, which will display the Customize Keyboard Scheme dialog.
- Highlight the key to modify, which will display all current mappings for that key.
- Choose the appropriate Key Modifier for the key combination you wish to change.
- Next, either double-click the key, or press the Action Property button to display the Action Property dialog.
Note: The Action Property button will open the Action Property page in mode-less mode, allowing you to modify the action for multiple keyboard keys before pressing OK to save all changes. Double-clicking an extension button will open the Action Property page in model mode for quick changes to a single key.
- Select the action to assign from the list, along with any associated properties.
- Press OK to return to the Customize Keyboard Scheme.
- Repeat for additional keys to map.
- When finished, press Save to save these settings to the current session, or press the arrow next to Save, select Save As to create a custom keyboard scheme file (*.aks), then provide a file name.
