Group Label

Text to display at the bottom of the group, which by default is the name provided during creation, but may be overridden here.


Insert a new column (Ctrl+I)

With a button selected, inserts a new column at the end of the button grid. With a column selected, inserts a new column to the left.


Delete the selected column (Ctrl+X)

Hover the mouse pointer over the top of any column to display an arrow, then click to select and highlight. Click the Delete button to remove the entire column.


Preview

Provides the user with a preview of how the custom group will look.


Selected Button Properties

All properties associated with the selected button.


Type

Choose one of the following to determine what will display on the button face:

No Button

Text Only

Image Only

Image With Text


Images

Displays previews of the selected image.


Select

Click the drop-down to choose from one of the Flex Terminal Emulator included images, or click the ellipses to browse for an image to use. The icons (16x16 and 32x32) are generated from the user selected image and saved at ...\FlexSoftware\Flex Terminal Emulator\Extensions\Images\Icons\.


Text

With Text Only or Image With Text selected for the Type, enter a text string to display on the button face.


Clear the button

Removes the Image, Text and Action Property properties for the selected button and sets the Type to the default Image With Text.


Action Property

Double-click a button to display the Action Property dialog centered on the Custom Group dialog, or click the Action Property button to display it directly to the right. Select the appropriate Action to perform when the button is clicked.


Note: if the Text field is blank when an Action Property is selected, the Text field will be automatically populated. For example, choosing a macro to run will set the Text property to the name of the macro.


Save/Save As

Click Save to save the settings to the current custom group, or click the drop-down and select Save As to save to a new new custom group name.


Cancel

Prompts to confirm cancellation without saving changes. Click Yes to proceed or No to return.
