Operator Information Area
The Operator Information Area (OIA) provides useful information regarding the current state of the session connection. Users cannot select, place the cursor, or enter text in the OIA, which is located at the bottom of the host session screen and is separated by a horizontal line.
Connection Mode
The left most columns of the OIA provide information about the type of connection made for the current session. One of the following symbols will appear:

Session State
When a TN3270 or TN3270E connection is established, another symbol will appear in column 3, indicating the state of the session:

TLS/SSL/SSH Security
If the session is encrypted with TLS or SSH security enabled, one of the following will appear in columns 5-7:

System State
The current state of the system is indicated by several symbols that appear to the right of the session state in column 9, providing information about the status of the host. User input is prohibited in each of the following states:

Resource Name
The Resource Name or Logical Unit (LU) name displays starting at column 61.
Cursor Position
The current cursor position is displayed on the far right-hand side of the OIA in the format R/C, where R indicates the row and C indicates the column.
