Flex Terminal Emulator is a modern, fully featured, easy to use, Windows based terminal emulation software solution written in 100% pure C# .NET, providing a new user interface that is long overdue for the terminal emulation community and provides secure access to IBM Z (mainframe),  IBM i (AS/400), Open Systems (Unix/Linux) and FTP host systems.


Available are 29 workspace window themes, which control the colors and styles of the window elements, allowing the user to personalize the Flex Terminal Emulator environment. 


Flex Terminal Emulator Extensions is a powerful tool, which provides enhanced functionality and increased productivity for the user. Included are four system extensions for Notes, PF Keys, Print Multiple Screens on a single page and Screen Recorder, with the ability to create custom extensions that contain buttons for performing any Flex Terminal Emulator action.


Users have the advantage of connecting to multiple host systems from a single workspace with tabbed sessions, which can be docked to any side of the workspace window, or can be floating as separate windows. Customize the look and feel of the application with the use of color, edit, hotspots, keyboard, and mouse Schemes. The Quick Access Toolbar allows quick and easy access to commonly used functions.


A robust scripting language allows users to record macros for automating routine tasks and Windows HLLAPI (High Level Language Application Program Interface) is fully supported for legacy applications that were written to interface with the emulator.


IND$FILE and secure FTP are both provided for transferring files between the host and local PC.
